Parents Launch Anti-Violence Campaign

Parents, Staff, and students partner up to prevent bullying and violence at Marquette.

On Friday, January 20, a rally was held in Marquette auditorium. Parents, teachers, and students spoke from the heart about how bullying and violence has negatively impacted their lives in and around Marquette School. The parents asked the teachers to pledge to recieve training regarding bullying in the classroom. The parents took a pledge to be involved in the community and school to decrease violence.

We will all continue to work together to make Marquette Elementary School a safe learning environment for all students. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday parents and community members will be around the outside of the school promoting non-violence and anti-bullying by holding signs reminding students of choices they have.

If you’d like information on how you can become part of the solution, please call the school at 773-535-9260.
